Begonia.

 Begonia is a genus of ornamental plants with hundreds of species prized for their colorful leaves and flowers. It is popular as a houseplant and garden plant. It is easy to care for, but requires bright, filtered light, moderate humidity, and avoiding overwatering. It is easily propagated by cuttings. In 2025, Yorgas Lanthimos's satirical film "Begonia" was released.

 General Characteristics

 Types: Ornamental foliage (bright leaves) and ornamental flowering (bright flowers), as well as trailing forms.
 Origin: Tropical regions of Asia, America, and Africa.
 Uses: Houseplants, conservatories, hanging pots, garden beds.

 Indoor Care
 Light: Bright, filtered light, no direct sunlight.
Watering: Moderate, after the top layer of soil has dried; settled water, at the roots. Humidity: Prefers high humidity (use a tray with expanded clay).

 Temperature: 18-25°C, avoid drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Soil: Loose, in tight pots.
Repotting: When the roots have formed a root ball, repot slightly larger than the previous pot.
Propagation: Cuttings, leaves, seeds, and tubers.
