7 rules for growing boviaea indoors!

 When growing boviaea, there are usually no serious difficulties. But in order for the plant to feel comfortable, it is necessary to follow a number of agricultural rules:

 Put boviaea in a bright place. This crop is considered shade-tolerant, but the length and branching of the peduncle directly depends on the intensity of lighting.

 Grow at moderate temperatures with cool wintering. Boviaea easily adapts to any temperature regime, but prefers to grow with a clearly defined change of seasons.

 Be careful when watering. This crop does not tolerate even short-term over-moistening of the substrate. It is difficult to dry out boviaea, but very easy to overwater.

 Do not plant boviaea in too large pots. The roots of boviaea are thick and strong, grow well and require a sufficient volume of soil. However, when determining the diameter of the pot, you should focus not on the roots, but on the bulb. The diameter of the container should be only 2-3 cm larger than the diameter of the bulb, otherwise the plant will start to get sick.

 Plant the boviaea in a very light, drained substrate. It should allow water and air to pass through freely and not contain too much humus. Excessively fatty soils cause the boviaea bulbs to rot.

 Bovieya can rightfully be considered one of the most outwardly exotic indoor plants. While this plant is rarely found in Russian apartments and is familiar mainly to collectors, it is becoming increasingly popular due to its fantastic appearance.
