 Rowan-leaved rowan grows very quickly and eventually reaches a height of 2-3 m. Its leaves are complex, 14-30 cm long and 5-17 cm wide, green, similar to rowan leaves - hence its species name.

 The flowers are creamy, with a pleasant aroma, collected in spectacular panicle inflorescences up to 25 cm long. It blooms in July - August for 45-55 days.

 This plant has one unpleasant feature - it produces a lot of shoots and very quickly takes over the surrounding area.
