Peonies are perennial herbaceous plants that overwinter in the soil.

Peonies are perennial herbaceous plants that overwinter in the soil. They include herbaceous peonies, tree peonies and sub-shrub peonies.

 Herbaceous peonies:

They form bushes with erect stems that can reach a height of 60 cm to 1.2 meters.

The above-ground part dies off in the fall, and the underground rhizome remains in the ground and produces new shoots in the spring.

Landing.

To plant peonies, you will need a place protected from the winds with good lighting.

Wet lowlands are not for peonies.

In damp swampy places, their roots begin to rot, and the plant gradually dies. In areas with groundwater closer than 2 m, drainage will be necessary. This can be drainage ditches to drain water, a wide drainage layer in the planting hole, planting on an elevation.
