Delphinium

 Delphinium, also known as Larkspur or Delphinium, is a genus of herbaceous plants in the family Ranunculaceae, comprising both annual and perennial species. The genus contains approximately 450 species, distributed throughout the Northern Hemisphere and the mountainous regions of tropical Africa. The plant gets its name from the resemblance of its unopened flower bud to a dolphin's head.
