The worst "neighbors" for roses!

A rose is a rather capricious crop and requires unusual attention, but there are a number of plants that should never be allowed near the bushes, otherwise they will slowly destroy them. Therefore, roses are often planted separately from any neighbors.

- Large conifers and birch.

Needles not only acidify the soil, which is not needed by roses, but also provide dense shade. Birch has a powerful root system that sucks out all the nutrients and leaves roses with nothing.

- Ferns and hostas.

As you know, these plants love shade and dampness, which cannot be said about roses. It turns out that one of the neighbors will be in a worse position, so keep them away.

- Physostegia,   loosestrife, evening primrose.

These plants are sometimes planted at the bottom of roses, but this cannot be done, since their root system is very aggressive and will take everything from the roses. In general, you need to keep an eye on any neighbors and separate them if there are problems.
