Rose Abbey of Cluny is an excellent variety for single and group plantings, as well as for mixborders. The plant does not require special care, but does need watering and fertilizer. Strong disease and pest resistance makes this variety an excellent choice for beginning gardeners.
Description of the variety
Abbaye de Cluny is a hybrid tea variety created by French breeders of the Meilland company in 1993. This variety was obtained by crossing Just Joey, Louis de Funes and MEInarual.
The flowers of this plant are large, about 11 cm in diameter. The color of the bud is apricot, the flower is a soft apricot color, the edges of the petals are more orange or copper, while the base of the rose is almost cream. The flowers are shaped like a head of cabbage and have approximately 100 petals.
The bush of the plant is powerful and branched, from 80 to 125 cm high and about 70 cm wide. The foliage of the rose is very good.
