 Kohleria is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Gesneriaceae family; has numerous species distributed in tropical America. The following species are most often grown in indoor floriculture:

- pleasant color (K. amabilis) with dark green leaves of a muted hue,

- pubescent-flowered koleria (K. eriantha) with a brownish edge of green leaves,

- Bogota flower (bogotensis) with bright green leaves and reddish-brown pubescence.
