Ceropegia forms a few-flowered umbrella-shaped inflorescence.

Family of lastovnevye. Homeland Asia, Africa, Australia and the Pacific Islands. In nature, there are about 150 species. The name ceropegia comes from the Greek keros - wax and pege - spring, fountain (from the shape of the flower). Ceropegia is a relative of the well-known hoya.

The most common species is Ceropegia woodii - a herbaceous plant with a tuberous rhizome. The stems are thin, threadlike, creeping, with few branches. The leaves are opposite, on short petioles, round-heart-shaped, fleshy, about 2.5 cm in diameter. The surface of the leaf is bare, with a silvery marble pattern on a green background on top, and with a purple tint on the bottom. Ceropegia forms a few-flowered umbellate inflorescence. The corolla of the flower is about 2.5-3 cm long, fused, pitcher-shaped, swollen at the base, lilac-pink with dark purple, double petals along the edge.

Callas are perennial plants that require a dormant period in winter.

Callas are beautifully flowering perennials, they can be grown as a potted plant, or planted in the garden. With the arrival of the first frosts, the question arises: how to store callas in winter? For productive wintering, they need a temperature of at least -2ºС. Not all climate zones are characterized by such mild winter weather, so these perennials need to be dug up for the winter to create optimal conditions for them.

.

HOW TO DIG UP CALLAS CORRECTLY?

The time for this technological operation is after the first frosts, approximately:

- early October in the middle zone,

- early November - in more southern regions.

There is no need to worry that the first small frosts will damage the plant. On the contrary, this will be a signal for it about the end of the vegetative period. The plant will stop spending nutrients on the formation of leaves when it begins to prepare for the dormant period.

Why does zamioculcas shed old leaves and how to make a lush bush.

Many gardeners eagerly await the appearance of new leaves on the indoor zamioculcas plant. This is a very beautiful and spreading flower, but only if everything is fine with it. But sometimes it seems that new leaves are just beginning to form, but at the same time other old leaves are shed. And as a result, the plant becomes weak, and the greenery on it is sparse.

 old leaves and how

Features of natural aging.

During aging, the leaves on the plant begin to turn yellow. This is a natural process that should not be interfered with. Zamioculcas sheds unnecessary substances into old leaves (for example, calcium, which comes from hard water), but on the contrary, gives valuable components to young foliage (nitrogen).

Crassula (or fat plant) is a large genus of succulent plants.

Crassula (or fat plant) is a large genus of succulent plants in the Crassulaceae family, the most famous representative of which is the famous "money tree" (Crassula ovata). The name comes from the Latin crassus, meaning "thick," and refers to the fleshy structure of the leaves and stems, which can store water.

Crassula (or fat plant)
is a large genus of succulent plants

This is an ideal plant for the home and office thanks to its exceptional ease of care, hardiness, and decorative qualities.

 Basic Care

Caring for a crassula is easy if you follow the basic needs of all succulents:

Light: As bright as possible. South, southeast, or southwest-facing windows are best. Insufficient light causes the stems to stretch and weaken.

Watering: Infrequent and moderate. In summer, water after the top layer of soil has completely dried out; in winter, water every 2-3 weeks. Crassula tolerates drought better than overwatering, which leads to root rot.

Boveya or Boveya (Bowiea).

Bovieya can rightfully be considered one of the most outwardly exotic indoor plants. While this plant is rarely found in Russian apartments and is familiar mainly to collectors, it is becoming increasingly popular due to its fantastic appearance. Despite its exoticism, bovieya is quite easy to grow.

Belongs to the Hyacinth family. The bulbous plant is found in nature in the desert regions of Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa and Zimbabwe. The plant belongs to the species of herbaceous succulents. The bulb in adulthood reaches a diameter of 30 cm and is covered with protective scales. The root system is powerful, branched.

The stems are creeping, can hang down like ampelous plants. The leaves are small, branched, but grow only on young shoots.

7 rules for growing boviaea indoors!

When growing boviaea, there are usually no serious difficulties. But in order for the plant to feel comfortable, it is necessary to follow a number of agricultural rules:

Put boviaea in a bright place. This crop is considered shade-tolerant, but the length and branching of the peduncle directly depends on the intensity of lighting.

Grow at moderate temperatures with cool wintering. Boviaea easily adapts to any temperature regime, but prefers to grow with a clearly defined change of seasons.

Be careful when watering. This crop does not tolerate even short-term over-moistening of the substrate. It is difficult to dry out boviaea, but very easy to overwater.

Do not plant boviaea in too large pots. The roots of boviaea are thick and strong, grow well and require a sufficient volume of soil. However, when determining the diameter of the pot, you should focus not on the roots, but on the bulb. The diameter of the container should be only 2-3 cm larger than the diameter of the bulb, otherwise the plant will start to get sick.

Plant the boviaea in a very light, drained substrate. It should allow water and air to pass through freely and not contain too much humus. Excessively fatty soils cause the boviaea bulbs to rot.

Crassula Plant.

Crassula, also known as the money plant or the jade plant, is a popular, low-maintenance succulent prized for its fleshy leaves and air-purifying properties.

 Indoor Care
Crassula is undemanding, but it requires bright light and moderate watering for healthy growth.
Lighting: The plant requires bright light, preferably with direct sunlight.
Temperature: In spring and summer, the optimal temperature is 20-25°C. In winter, a dormant period at a lower temperature of about 10-15°C is recommended.
Watering: As a succulent, crassula stores water in its leaves and stems, so it's better to underwater than overwater. Water moderately: let the soil dry out halfway between waterings in summer, and completely in winter.
Humidity: Not a major concern; the plant tolerates dry air well. Soil and Pot: Use wide, sturdy containers, as the plant's root system is weak, and the trunk and leaves become heavy over time.

Bacopa (Latin: Bacopa) is a genus of perennial aquatic or amphibious plants.

Bacopa (Latin: Bacopa) is a genus of perennial aquatic or amphibious plants in the Plantaginaceae family, which includes about 100 species. In gardening, aquaristics, and folk medicine, two completely different species of this plant have gained the greatest popularity: Bacopa speciosa (an ornamental flower) and Bacopa monnieri (a medicinal herb and aquarium plant). Bacopa speciosa (Sutera cordata) is used as an ornamental garden plant for hanging baskets, balcony boxes, and as a groundcover.

Bacopa (Latin: Bacopa)

Dieffenbachia.

The tropical evergreen plant has been cultivated for 150 years, it has become loved by gardeners for its exceptional decorative properties.

Having become a cultivated plant, dieffenbachia has changed some of its properties. The first varieties were often tall, lost their lower leaves and with it their attractiveness, in addition, they were more greenhouse than indoor.
