Bacopa carolinica.

The homeland of Bacopa carolinica is the fresh marshy waters of Latin America. It belongs to the plantaginaceae family.

 Growing and care

The plant develops well in warm and tropical artificial reservoirs, 25-30 cm deep.

The range of comfortable temperatures for Bacopa is 22-30 °C. In colder water, the plant will stop growing, old leaves may rot.

If you maintain optimal conditions of temperature and water hardness, Bacopa will decorate the aquarium all year round.

The plant tolerates changes in conditions well (from the water column to the open air and vice versa).

If you grow Bacopa in a shallow aquarium, its shoots will outgrow the water level and in the air it will bloom with pale light purple flowers.

If you regularly and dose CO2 into the aquarium, the leaves will become fleshier and larger.
