 Biological Features
Appearance: The plant has erect, unbranched stems and flat leaves. Flowers are usually yellow, but can be white, cream, or red.

Chemical Composition: The rhizomes contain over 140 compounds, including flavonoids, organic acids (citric, malic, and succinic), vitamins C and PP, and specific glycosides—rosavin and salidroside.

 Uses and Beneficial Properties
Rhodiola rosea is a powerful adaptogen—an agent that helps the body resist stress and restore balance.

Nervous system and brain: Rhodiola extract stimulates the central nervous system, improves cognitive functions (attention, memory), and helps with depression, anxiety, and chronic fatigue.

Physical endurance: The plant is used to increase performance, combat fatigue, and improve athletic performance.

Medicinal use: In medicine, it is used to treat hypotension (low blood pressure), vegetative-vascular dystonia, and neuroses. In folk medicine, the root is valued for male and female ailments, as well as for liver support and lowering blood sugar.

Nutritional use: The above-ground parts of the plant are sometimes eaten, for example, in salads.
