Croton Plant.

 Crotons, or codiaeums, are a genus of plants in the Euphorbiaceae family.
 This plant is widespread in the subtropics and tropics.   The homeland of croton is eastern India. It was from this country that they were brought to us.
 These plants are also found in other countries of southeast Asia, Australia, and America.

 There are many types of codiaeum, mainly distinguished by the color and shape of the leaves.
