Dracaena.

Good afternoon everyone! I am rooting a Dracaena stem and the question arose: how deep should I plant it?

Dracaena.

Dracaena (Latin: Dracaena) is a genus of plants in the Asparagus family, which includes trees, succulent shrubs, and herbaceous perennials, primarily native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Old World. The genus comprises approximately two hundred species, including popular houseplants and species that produce "dragon's blood"—a red resin.
 Key Characteristics:
Appearance: These are trees or shrubs with leathery leaves that can be linear, narrowly lanceolate, or oval. The leaves are often clustered at the top of the stem and can be green or with white longitudinal stripes.

Size: Mature plants can reach considerable height.

Flowers: Usually greenish-white or yellowish-green, often fragrant, borne in racemes.

 Fruit: Berry.

 Distribution:
Dracaenas are native to the tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and southern Asia.

 Uses and significance:
Ornamental: Many dracaena species are widely used as houseplants and greenhouse plants due to their striking appearance and low maintenance.

Resin source: When cut, some dracaena species exude a reddening resin known as "dragon's blood."

 Interesting facts:
The name "dragon's blood" comes from the Greek word meaning "female dragon."
In some cases, dracaenas can emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which can purify indoor air.
