Dahlia tubers PLAYA BLANCA (PLAYA BLANCA)

Dahlia tubers PLAYA BLANCA (PLAYA BLANCA). Is one of the unusual flowers that attract curious glances, wanting to examine each petal in detail and discover this miracle. Belongs to the class of Border dahlias.

Flowers are large, lush, milky-white with a soft yellow core, as if illuminating the flower from the inside; petals are slightly narrow and twisted, collected in a lush rosette resembling a "hedgehog" (up to 10-15 cm in diameter). Flowering is abundant, repeated and quite long: from July until the first frost.

The height of the plant is up to 50 cm, the stems are stable, not requiring additional support. Planting of tubers is carried out in the period April-May, the recommended depth is 20-30 cm.

For frequent flowering, it is recommended to remove faded buds. Dahlias are propagated by seeds or vegetatively: by dividing tubers and cuttings. With the onset of frost, it is advisable to cut the stems to a height of 15 cm from the ground, then dig up the tubers, carefully inspect them and remove damaged roots. Store the tubers in a dry, warm room, in boxes with peat.
