Popular indoor varieties: Alocasia Polly: The most famous compact hybrid with dark green arrow-shaped leaves and bright white veins. Alocasia Frydek: Distinguished by a velvety emerald leaf surface and light thin veins. Alocasia Dragon Scale: Has hard textured leaves reminiscent of dragon scales.

Alocasia Regal Shields: A large variety with huge, almost black leaves and a purple tint on the back. Basic care rules: Lighting: Bright, filtered light without direct sunlight, which can burn the delicate foliage. Watering: Moderate, after the top layer of soil dries out. The plant does not tolerate stagnant water at the roots. Humidity: Requires high air humidity (from 60%). Regular misting or a humidifier are beneficial. Temperature: Heat-loving, ideally between 20 and 25°C year-round. Protect from drafts and cold windowsills.
