Plumeria

Plumeria, or frangipani, is a genus of flowering tropical trees and shrubs of the Kurtov family, which includes 7-8 species. Homeland - Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, South America, Brazil. From there, plumeria spread throughout all tropical regions of the world. Plumeria is widespread in South and Southeast Asia.

Plumeria flowers have a pleasant aroma, reminiscent of the aroma of spices, gardenias, jasmine. It is very difficult to describe the aroma precisely, since it changes depending on the environment. It is especially intense at night and in the morning. They usually have five oval-shaped petals, less often in the form of a spatula, which can be wide or narrow, flat or twisted. The aroma attracts many insects, but they are disappointed - there is no nectar in plumeria flowers.
