Hoyas should not be watered with mineral fertilizer solutions weekly. During the active growth period (March to September), it is recommended to fertilize the plant every 2-3 weeks, and in winter, reduce fertilizing to once a month or stop fertilizing altogether. Weekly watering with a fertilizer solution can lead to overdosing and root burn.

How to properly fertilize Hoyas:
Frequency: Fertilize every 2-3 weeks during the growing season, and less frequently (once a month or less) in winter.
Fertilizer Type: Use a complete mineral fertilizer for flowering or ornamental foliage plants, with a higher concentration of potassium and phosphorus than nitrogen. Pay attention to the N-P-K ratio (e.g., 10-10-10).
Dosage: Always follow the dosage instructions on the fertilizer packaging to avoid root damage.
Watering: Before applying fertilizer, the soil should be slightly moist, not dry. Do not fertilize the plant during the dormant period.
