This group includes varieties with different growth habits. They can be low, medium, or tall, climbing, spreading, dense, or sparse. Moreover, the same varieties can exhibit different characteristics in different climate zones.
Many varieties are shade-tolerant, a result of the English climate's low sunny season and the use of shade-tolerant varieties in breeding programs.
