English roses differ from other modern varieties in their flower shape and bush structure. They combine the advantages of old rose varieties (cup-shaped flowers, harmonious bush form, and a variety of floral fragrances) with the disease resistance, variety of colors, and pronounced repeat or continuous blooming characteristic of modern hybrid tea and floribunda roses.
