Classic bright yellow flowers, cup-shaped when fully bloomed, mostly solitary on the shoots. The bush is practically thornless, well branched, the foliage is glossy, leathery, dark green.
The Aalsmeer Gold rose—also known by its registered name, Bekola—is a well-known hybrid tea variety. It was bred by the renowned German breeder Reimer Kordes (of the W. Kordes' Söhne nursery) in 1978. The rose was named after the Dutch town of Aalsmeer, world-famous for hosting the largest flower auction.
