The soil should be loose, fertile and sufficiently supplied with moisture, but without stagnant water. The area should be level, protected from the wind, not too much illuminated during the day. The soil for planting is prepared in the fall. The depth of the planting hole is 25-30 cm.
Rotted manure or compost is placed on the bottom, if the soil is acidic, lime is added.
The rhizomes are planted so that the distance from the root collar to the surface of the earth is 3-5 cm. Care consists of periodic loosening, watering and fertilizing. In the second half of the growing season, when loosening, it is recommended to slightly hill the plants. This accelerates the formation of the root system.
