Dichondra - silver waterfall!

It is better to sow dichondra in late autumn, or before the New Year. Dichondra is also one of the long-lasting plants. If everything is done correctly, it will definitely please you with lush braids in the summer.

Dichondra.

Before sowing, dichondra must be soaked. You can soak it in wet disks. You can do this in the evening, and sow it in the morning. We plant the seeds to a depth of 0.5 cm. The soil should be moist and also sprinkle with water from above. The shoots should appear on the 5-7th day. It happens that they need to think, this happens due to lack of moisture, but please do not soak the seeds for too long, it is better to monitor the soil moisture. After the first true leaves appear, if necessary, you can transplant them into a volume of 200-250 ml.

This is a drought-resistant and light-loving plant. For full and active growth, a moist substrate with an acidic reaction is quite suitable for it. If you plant the plant in a container, be sure to provide it with good drainage.

When growing dichondra in an ampelous form, you will need to prune it regularly. If you did not add long-acting fertilizer when planting, then you will need to do combined feedings twice a month.

Dichondra does not grow very quickly, so it makes sense to try to preserve the plant in winter. In the south, you can simply cover it with fallen leaves, but in central Russia it can only survive the winter indoors (and in the spring it will need to be propagated again).

The main condition for wintering is the brightest place in the house and limit watering.

The variety with green leaves can grow both in the sun and in the shade, but my silvery beauty feels better in the sun, although it can also tolerate partial shade.
