The plant blooms in spring and summer, numerous peduncles with inflorescences-spiks rise above its leaves, the appearance of which varies significantly among different species. As the fruits ripen, small dryish berries appear on the surface of the inflorescence, which are easily separated when touched.
The height of the plant varies from 15 to 50 cm.
